NHM Karnataka CHO recruitment 2022 has been released officially. A total of 1048 posts of Community Health Officers have been released. Interested candidates can apply for these posts now. Karnataka state has adopted BSc Nursing graduates as Community Health Officers (CHOs) for delivery of preventive promotive, curative, rehabilitative & palliative care services at the door-step of the community at Sub Centre Level Health and Wellness Centers (SC-HWCs).
NHM Karnataka CHO Vacancy Details
A total of 1048 posts of Community Health Officers have been released. At present in Phase-6, NHM, Karnataka, through the District Health Society is selecting 1048 (847 new + 201 vacant posts) B.Sc graduated Nurses as CHOs, for all districts against vacancy posts as per the approvals given in ROP 2022-23. Eligibility Criteria for NHM Karnataka CHO
The eligible candidates are B.Sc / Post B.Sc graduates from the CPCH course integrated batches and presently working CHOs, having qualified degree certificates and enrolled in KNC with knowledge of the Computer system as well as Kannada fluency (speaking and writing). The criteria for applying to the posts including age and other essential requirements are described in official notification.
How to Apply For NHM Karnataka CHO?
The eligible candidates shall apply only once in an online platform for any selected district after registration through email with uploading of mandatory identity proofs and certificates. The relevant documents shall be uploaded in PDF format where ever it is mandated while filling up of the online application.

Selection shall be done among the candidates who passed in B.Sc /PB B.Sc nursing course, and for integrated candidates qualified under the integrated Certificate Programme in Community Health (CPCH) curriculum (Community health Nursing-II) from any recognized university and/or presently working as CHOs under NHM. The selection of a Community Health Officer (CHO) will be done at district level under NHM through District Health Society.
Application fees for candidates will be Rs.510/- (Five hundred and Ten only) (including online Registration and attending the selection exam) and shall be paid through the Online process by the candidates. Similarly, the application fee for SC/ST candidates will be Rs.255/-, which shall be paid through the online process. Candidates availing fees concession, if they fail to upload the specific valid documents, then their applications will be rejected without any notice.
Exam Pattern of NHM Karnataka CHO
- The examination will be online in objective type for 90 minutes.
- The number of questions will be 80, and against which totally 100 marks will be allotted.
- Each question, in general, carry 1 marks (sixty questions for 60 marks) but skill based 20 questions will carry 2 marks (20 questions for 40 Marks).
- The exam will be conducted in 2 batches on 19-11-2022. The first batch is for integrated candidates which commences at 10.00 am and end at 11.30 am and candidates to report to the examination center at 8am.
