HP AMRU BSc Nursing Entrance 2023 is going to be conducted in the month of August 2023. Candidates who want to be registered nurses can enrol in this course at HP. This is a regular 4-year course for admission to BSc Nursing in AMRU. The Atal Medical and Research University, HP will conduct the Entrance Test for admission to 4 years B.Sc. Nursing Degree Course for female candidates only in Sister Nivedita Govt. College of Nursing, IGMC, Shimla; Government Nursing College, Sh. Lal Bahadur Shastri Medical College, Ner Chowk, Distt. Mandi and Private Nursing Colleges/Institutions situated in the State of Himachal Pradesh.
Eligiblity Criteria and Educational Qualification of AMRU BSc Nursing Entrance 2023
(i) Female Children of Bonafide Himachali/ Himachal Govt. employees and employees of Autonomous bodies wholly or partially financed by the Himachal Pradesh Government will only be eligible to apply for admission to 4 years B.Sc. Nursing Degree Course (Government Quota) through Entrance Test to be conducted by Atal Medical and Research University, HP, at Ner Chowk, Distt. Mandi, HP
(ii) For filling up of 50% Management Quota Seats in Private un-aided B.Sc. Nursing Colleges in the State of Himachal Pradesh, there will be no requirement of being Himachali Bonafide. Under this quota, both Himachali and Non- Himachali-interested candidates can compete in the entrance test subject to fulfilment of minimum educational qualifications and age criteria as prescribed in the prospectus.
Age Limit: The age of candidates should be between 17 to 35 years as on 31st, December 2023 i.e. the candidate should be born between 01.01.1989 and 01.01.2007. However, upper age can be relaxed by 5 years in the case of SC/ST candidates i.e. the candidates must have been born between 01.01.1984 and 01.01.2007. Age, as recorded in the matriculation certificate, will be entertained.
Educational Qualification: The candidate should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from H.P. Board of SchoolEducation/AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or any other Board/University established by law in India in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and with 45% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination. For the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination will be 40% instead of 45% as stated above. Provided further that English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Nursing) course.
The candidate should be medically fit.
How to Apply For AMRU BSc Nursing Entrance 2023?
Interested candidates can apply online on AMRU’s official website. The Candidate,
before submitting the application form online, shall satisfy her eligibility to appear in the test. The candidate is required to go through the Prospectus carefully and acquaint herself with all requirements with regard to submission of the online Application Form.

The admission to 4 years B.Sc. Nursing Course will be made on the basis of merit of the Entrance Test to be conducted by the Atal Medical and Research University, HP on the scheduled date as mentioned in the prospectus. The name and address of the examination centre will be communicated on the admit cards to be made available on the University website www.amruhp.ac.in for appearing at the Entrance Test. The examination Centre once opted for by the candidate will not be changed. However, University reserves the right to allot any centre in view of exigencies.
Syllabus & Pattern of the AMRU BSc Nursing Entrance Examination
The Entrance Test shall consists of one written paper only in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry (including Organic Chemistry), Biology, English and Nursing Aptitude in
accordance with the syllabi of studies based on NCERT books of the academic session according to which the 10+2 (includes 11th and 12th classes) the examination was conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education in the year of the Entrance Test. The medium of examination shall be English. The question paper will have 100 (One Hundred) MCQ objective-type questions of one mark each. Each question has four options i.e. A, B, C & D. Out of which only one will be the correct option. The duration of the entrance test will be 2 hours. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. The question paper will be in English language only for
