1. Project Nurse Recruitment 2026

JIPMER, Puducherry, invites applications from eligible nursing candidates for the post of Project Nurse under a research project titled “Refining Kidney Function Assessment in Indians: Towards Accurate Estimation of Glomerular Filtration Rate in Clinical Practice.”

This opportunity is suitable for nursing graduates interested in clinical research and patient-related research activities.

2. Project Technical Support Vacancy

JIPMER also invites applications for one Project Technical Support position under the same research project.

Eligibility and Salary

• Vacancies: 1
• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. Nursing or an equivalent postgraduate qualification in Nursing or Allied Health Sciences from a recognized university or equivalent institution.
• Preferred Experience: One year of clinical research experience involving patient enrolment, informed consent, biological sample collection and processing, biobanking, data collection and data analysis.
• Age Limit: Below 35 years as of 30 September 2026.
• Monthly Salary: ₹33,600 (consolidated).
• Appointment Duration: 12 months, potentially extendable for the full project duration.
• Selection Process: Written test and skill test.

3. Walk-in Recruitment Schedule

• Date: 27 October 2026
• Reporting Time: 9:00 AM
• Interview Time: 2:00 PM for shortlisted candidates
• Venue: Department of Nephrology, JIPMER, Puducherry.
• Expected Joining Date: Candidates must be able to join by 2 November 2026.

5. Important Terms and Conditions

• The appointment is purely temporary and contractual.
• The consolidated remuneration does not include benefits such as HRA, CCA, provident fund, leave travel concession or medical claims.
• Candidates with research experience, good Tamil communication skills and basic computer skills will be preferred.
• The selected candidate must work full-time on the project and cannot accept another assignment during the appointment.
• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the selection process.
• The appointment does not confer any claim to regular employment at JIPMER.
• One month’s notice or the applicable salary in lieu of notice is required for resignation, according to the notification.
