8. 📚 Syllabus

This is important because the notification does not give a chapter-by-chapter syllabus.

PGIMER states that the CBT syllabus will be according to the prescribed educational qualification/professional course and experience for the post. Questions may cover topics studied/practised during the prescribed nursing course.

Therefore, your preparation should mainly cover:

Fundamentals of Nursing

  • Respiratory

9. 🏆 Selection Process

The selection is essentially:

Online Application

CBT

Category-wise shortlisting

Application/document scrutiny

Document Verification

Final selection based on CBT merit

There is no interview for this Group B post.

Shortlisting

PGIMER says candidates will generally be shortlisted at:

3 × number of advertised posts + ties

For 243 posts, the basic three-times figure is:

243 × 3 = 729

This is not necessarily the final number because the notification also provides for ties and the stated reserved-category provisions.

10. 🥇 How final merit is decided

This is extremely important:

Your final selection is based on your CBT marks, after you are found eligible through document scrutiny/verification.

So there is no interview score to add.

Tie-breaking

If candidates have equal aggregate marks, PGIMER uses:

  1. Fewer wrong answers/negative marks
  2. Earlier date of birth
  3. Higher 10+2 aggregate percentage
  4. Higher Matric/10th aggregate percentage

11. 🖥️ How to apply

You enter details such as:
